New fence and gate

Many thanks to Village Hall trustee, Steve Jordan, for donating and installing a new fence and gate at the back of the hall.

By replacing the old and rickety barrier with a much better quality gate and fencing the entrance from St John’s Meadow is now attractive and welcoming as well as being fit for purpose for many years.

Thanks are also due to John Meadows for applying weedkiller to the small forest of thistles which have quickly become established in the area around the side and rear of the hall where grass was seeded by the building contractor last month.

Next step is to rotovate the ground and turf the area and also lay a slab pathway between the new rear gate and the patio.
