Thunderbolts over Metfield
30th April 2018Metfield Village Hall will host an illustrated talk and film show on the history of the USAAF 353rd Fighter Group at Metfield during World War II.
Noted 8th Air Force historian Dr Graham Cross will present a collection of previously unseen wartime photographs and film to bring the history of the former airfield at Metfield alive.
Dr Cross will have copies of his new book ‘Slybirds’ covering the history of the 353rd FG available on the night for signing for the discounted price of £20 (cash sales only).
