Lottery Sign off
19th August 2018The page was turned on the end of a chapter in the Village Hall history earlier this month when the Big Lottery Fund confirmed it had closed our Capital Grant Allocation Project after the successful submission of our end of project monitoring report. This detailed our achievements over the first year of operation of the hall extension in meeting the project targets against which the £291,024 Lottery capital grant had been allocated in February 2016.
“Your project with us has now been closed and we would like to wish Metfield Village Hall all the very best for the future.” BIG Lottery Fund.
From start to finish the project has taken over six years and a lot of effort from many dedicated volunteers. Quite simply it would not have happened without the work of many enthusiastic local residents. Our success during the first 18 months of operation since March 2017 is also due to the continuing dedication of all our volunteers.
Of course, we always need more helpers. It’s a great way to make friends while putting something back into the community by contributing whatever time you can. If you are interested, speak to Lorraine McEvoy or Frankie Brown for more information.
